The Foundation of Shalom Park derives its income from three sources:

• Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte - A percentage of the proceeds from the Annual Campaign
• Rental Income - From Shalom Park partner agencies based on utilized square footage as well as room rentals from outside users
• Endowment Income - Several endowments have been established to provide annual support

Charitable contributions to the Foundation of Shalom Park will help to support the operations of the entire Park and be used to offset costs for ALL  of the Partner Agencies in Shalom Park.

A vision of looking forward to something greater – a vision of what life might be – has guided the Jewish people for thousands of years. The same vision has guided Shalom Park since its inception in 1986 and has touched the lives of many thousands of people, providing a central Jewish meeting place for our community.

Shalom Park is a place where generation after generation will come together to remember and celebrate our rich Jewish history. We can each do our part and make a difference. Your financial support and commitment is an important part of Shalom Park’s legacy to serve future generations.

How Can You Assist Shalom Park?

SECURITY FUND

The security of Shalom Park and its partner agencies is of great importance. The estimated ongoing costs of these services are $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Your charitable gifts can help to offset the cost of these services. The Foundation of Shalom Park has developed a comprehensive safety and security program, which includes:

• A Safety and Security Director
• Contract Security
• Off-Duty CMPD Officers
• State-of-the-Art Internet-Protocol Based Video Surveillance
• Staff Training
• Emergency Response Preparation
• Coordination with the FBI and CMPD

CURRENT ENDOWMENT FUNDS

Endowments have been established to provide annual income to support the budgetary needs of Shalom Park. These funds assist us in serving the needs of our partner agencies.

• The Leon Levine Foundation Endowment for Shalom Park - Established in 2004
  To provide annual support for the operation, maintenance and management of Shalom Park
• The Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Endowment for the Foundation of Shalom Park - Established in 2002
  To construct, maintain, support and operate a Jewish oriented campus in Charlotte, NC
• Donald H. and Barbara K. Bernstein Foundation of Shalom Park Continuity Fund - Established in 1999
  To provide annual financial support to the Foundation of Shalom Park
• Foundation of Shalom Park Endowment Fund - Established in 1998
  To provide annual financial support to the Foundation of Shalom Park
